This is just a sort of advance notice of my plans for the Linux Bike Ride March 2006 Canberra. Or whatever its title should be.
- Start at the
ANU building
108 (map ref G.g/4.2) at 10:30 AM.
- Head up through Turner (following McCaughey, Masson, Frogatt, Tate, Miller,
MacArthur, and Dryandra) and along the bike path through the AIS (arriving at
the corner of Haydon Drive and Purdie St at around 11:15 AM.
- Head left along Haydon Drive and down Belconnen Way to Eastern Valley
Way, and thence North to the edge of Lake Gininderra at around 11:30 AM
to 12:00 PM.
- Circle anticlockwise around Lake Ginninderra to get to the
western foreshores park
to have lunch around 12:30PM (at the shore directly east of where the
toilet block is marked).
- Head off again around 2:00PM and continue round Lake Ginninderra
ending up at the northern end of Benjamin Way.
- South down Benjamin Way and up through the bike path that runs through
Macquarie and Cook, cresting the Cook Ridge by 2:30 PM.
- Down the path beside Bindubi Drive to the shores of Lake Burley Griffin,
and eastward from there to end up where we started by around 3:00 PM
to 3:30 PM.
Please email
the CLUG list or
me if you're interested in coming.
Please feel free to wait at an appropriate point for us, or phone me on
my mobile (0422 392 081) to arrange to be at a particular locus in the
space-time continuum. Even if you just meet up for lunch, that'd be great!
