77 - Drum & Bass

Believe it or not, I actually really like Drum & Bass. The pace gets me tapping my feet to the complex rhythms, and the bass lines and samples give it something atmospheric. It’s a complex genre with its own sub-genres and history.

I’d compiled this mix a while back, but I was really scraping the bottom of the barrel looking for tunes. Many of the ones I had just didn’t fit the style of the rest. Finally I went on a bit of a shopping spree at TrackItDown and bought more, and was pleasantly surprised to find that most of them fitted in perfectly. So I released this mix when I had a bit of spare time – on Christmas day, of course!
